Estepona is such a beautiful little town… every time we walk down the little cobbled back streets we can’t help but notice a new tapas bar, restaurant or gastro pub opening up on an almost a weekly basis! Check out our list of the top 5 places to eat in Estepona, we have some suggestions for lunch on the beach and also for nights out in the Old Town and the Port! Estepona did it's best to stay under the usual holiday radar for what seemed like years. This however, attracted many more to the old towns beaches and night out. They quickly realised how this rather quaint and upbeat city could be compared to Marbella, but without all the glamour and glitz. As time when on, Estepona grew in popularity, and more people were heading there for their holidays. Best of all, because of all the wonderful attention, many property investors took notice too. Today, Estepona is the go to place for a wonderful family holiday, a great place to buy property below market value, and is now home to some new incredible developments.
For now, please enjoy our personal tour around Estepona to our favourite restaurants. The entire staff at Marbella Homes as their very own recommendation and if you find yourself following our list, please let us know about your own experiene on Facebook....and while you are there, why not like our page?
Let's just dive right in to the seaside city of Estepona! Here are our top choices of where to eat!

#1 - Favourite Restaurant
Palm Beach, International, Beach bar, Chriniguito
Beach front near Carrefour, Av. España, nº2, 29680 Estepona – MALAGA.

Palm Beach is one of my favourite beach chiringuitos in Estepona, the cocktail waiter makes fantastic fresh mojitos and strawberry daiquiris! The menu is varied with international and Spanish meat and fish dishes and the owners are Dutch so if you are looking for an authentic Chicken Satay or Nasi Goreng, I highly recommend for you to try these dishes here! The chiringuito is open mainly for lunch, but during the summer months you can book a table for the evening and enjoy the sea breeze under the stars listening to chill out music.
Please visit Palm Beach for more information.

#2 - Favourite Restaurant
Restaurante La Escollera, Fresh fish and seafood
Estepona Port, calle del Puerto Pesquero s/n, 29680, Estepona – MALAGA.

This little gem is located near to the beach in the Port of Estepona. When I visit here, I really enjoy the complete Spanish atomosphere and some of the freshest seafood around! Open for lunch and dinner, I found that the dishes are very reasonably priced and all the locals go here so you really cannot go wrong. Unfortunately you cannot book a table so if you wish to visit here I recommend arriving early to grab a table or you are most welcome to have a drink at the bar while you wait. Every dish is a Spanish speciality here but I particularly recommend the “pulpo a la gallega”... you will not taste fresher octopus!

I love this little fantastic Italian restaurant just located behind Estepona port. If you are looking for authentic home-made pasta and pizza you will absolutely love this restaurant! Open for lunch and dinner, the Italian chef Maurizio is a master of his art. The restaurant also serves meat, fish and seafood dishes so there is something for everyone. I highly recommend you book in advance, especially during summer as it’s the best Italian restaurant in Estepona as noted by me, Paul and of course Tripadvisor. Make sure you try the antipasti… the flavours of the fresh ingredients are exquisite!

My top pic is located on a quaint little street only seconds away from the picturesque plaza de Las Flores, in the Old Town of Estepona. This is just a little gourmet tapas bar but it's got some big appeal! I love it, I love the food and wine, and I especially love the traditional feel. This stylish little restaurant serves a wide selection of fusion style hot and cold tapas for every taste. For those who are lovers of fine wines, you can try every single one of their 120 varieties, and 50 of them are even served by the glass! The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with special wine tasting evenings held most Thursdays. La Casa del Rey is extremely popular so please make sure that you call in advance to make a reservation… and I am not talking on the day bookings… book early to avoid disappointment!

This beautifully decorated restaurant is located in a cute little square with a fountain close to the beach front. If you are here in summer you must ask for a table outside to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. Being Argentinian this restaurant is renowned for its fine selection of meat cuts so if you are looking for a fantastic steak, this is definitely a must on your to do list! I also love their delicious selection of Moroccan tagines and pasta dishes so there really is something for everyone. Pricing is excellent so if you are looking for a wonderful night out you must also book in advance as this place can get very busy!
