Estepona has become one of the most vibrant cultural hotspots on the Costa del Sol over recent years, and we have to say, it’s now one of our favourite places to visit with new restaurants, bars and activities popping up every week! It’s really no wonder that the property market is booming in this beautiful little fishing town.
Since the economic crisis, Estepona has experienced substantial economic growth and the Estepona Town Hall has invested a lot of time and money into attracting new businesses and offering varied cultural and music events for locals and visitors to enjoy all year round. One of the best resources to find out what’s on in Estepona is to follow the Official Facebook page of the Town Hall “Ayuntamiento de Estepona”. The Town Hall posts almost daily and provides lots of information about local cultural events as well as Estepona summer concerts.
This year Estepona welcomes the legendary band UB40 to the bullring, Estepona Plaza de Toros, on Thursday 16th August. The original members of the band Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue will be performing some of their greatest hits including ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘(I can’t help) Falling in Love with you’ and ‘Kingston Town’ as part of their ‘A Real Labour of Love’ 40th Anniversary Tour. We cannot wait to sing-along to these 80’s icons!
Estepona is also hosting a massive 5 day electronic music event Los Alamos Beach Festival, which will see more than 50 of the biggest International and National DJ’s playing from – Wednesday 1st August until Sunday 5th August 2018. Normally Los Alamos Beach Festival is held in Torremolinos but this year the Feria Ground in Estepona will have the pleasure of entertaining thousands of revellers even offering on-site camping. Headliners include Steve Angello on Thursday 2nd August, Armin Van Buuren on Friday 3rd August and Marco Carolo on Saturday 4th August. Better get our glow sticks at the ready!
Other cultural events in Estepona include concerts by Niña Pastori at the Estepona Plaza de Toros on Saturday 28th July, and the eagerly anticipated Andalusian horse show Espectáculo Ecuestre also held at the Estepona Plaza de Toros on Saturday 4th August. This spectacular show will perform “Andalusian horses dance” from the Royal School of Equestrian Art Andaluza.
